Aleck is a licensed physical therapist and the clinic director at our Elmwood clinic in Harahan. Walking into a first appointment worried is normal, and one patient wrote about how hers went. Lenai B. came to Elmwood for her back: “Upon my initial evaluation with Aleck, my fear and apprehension were immediately relieved as she began a spinal and deep tissue assessment.” A newer resident of New Orleans, Aleck loves finding new restaurants and spending time outside, and she can’t wait for festivals. She also enjoys traveling, and her favorite place is the beach.
Education and training
Aleck earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge. She practices as Dr. Aleck Gianfala, DPT, and she is the clinic director at Elmwood.
