About Lisa

Lisa co-founded Magnolia with Beth Winkler and opened the doors in July 2005, about two months before Hurricane Katrina and the levee failures hit New Orleans. She is President and CFO of the practice they rebuilt from one room into three clinics, and she is a physical therapist assistant. Her ambition is to help make physical therapy recognized as a primary healthcare option so it serves more of the community, and she works at that through volunteering and fundraising. Lisa served as New Orleans District Chair and a board member for the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association, serves as President of the Council of her local church, and sat on the board of Entrepreneurs’ Organization as Member Engagement Chair and then as President. She was the first female president of the Louisiana chapter of EO. In her spare time she is a golf enthusiast who likes early morning workouts with friends, snow skiing, a good game of frisbee on the beach, time with family, friends and her fur babies, and shopping for home decor.

Education and training

Lisa graduated from Delgado Community College in 2000. On graduation she received the award for Most Outstanding Student, and she served as President of the Student Physical Therapy Association. Her honors since include New Orleans Magazine’s “Top People to Watch,” the Distinguished Service Award given by the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association, and recognition as an Outstanding Alumni in the “Circles of Excellence” program at Delgado Community College.
